The P101 team has developed a comprehensive State-of-the-Art Analysis (SOTA) to map all relevant initiatives, projects, and institutions working on the protection and security of CBRN critical infrastructure. This mapping includes both CBRN CoE and non-CoE initiatives, allowing the P101 project to leverage existing tools, lessons learned, and best practices. The SOTA identifies key actors, methodologies, and technical outputs that can be adapted, reused, or expanded within the P101 framework. It serves as a strategic reference to align P101 activities with international standards and successful project models. By capitalizing on what has already been achieved, the SOTA helps avoid duplication of efforts and ensures efficient use of resources. It also facilitates cooperation with major institutions such as the IAEA, OPCW, RIVM, and JRC, which provide tools, training platforms, and technical expertise. This analysis strengthens P101’s ability to build on solid foundations while addressing gaps and tailoring interventions to regional and national needs. Overall, the SOTA is a critical tool for informed decision-making and strategic planning throughout the P101 project lifecycle.
